CC ROAM CYPRUS: USAGE AGREEMENT & REGULATIONS

• All camping equipment listed above must be returned in the same condition as they were received by the customer; this includes the interior of the truck.

• The customer understands that anything missing or broken will be charged extra and/or deducted from the security deposit that has been taken for the use of the camping equipment.

• The truck will be provided with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full fuel tank. If the truck is not returned with a full tank then a cost of €70 must be paid on returning to C.C. Roam Cyprus Ltd.

• In order to have permission to drive a truck equipped with camping equipment from C.C. Roam Cyprus Ltd, the customer must be in possession of a valid driving license for at least two (2) years and be between the age of 25-70 years.

• Distances and speed limits are posted in kilometres and kilometres/per hour (km/h) respectively. The maximum speed limit on motorways is 100 km/h and the minimum 65 km/h.

• Customers are required to follow the rules and driving regulations of the Republic of Cyprus. Always drive on the left and do not exceed the speed limit. Any fines issued to the customer in relation to their driving manner and/or parking are the liability of the customer.

• The use of seatbelts is compulsory both in the front and back, while the use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited when driving; these offences are fined heavily.

• It is an offence to drive a motor vehicle or a pedal bicycle when under the influence of alcohol.

• It is advisable to wear suitable footwear when driving; flip-flops or bare feet should be avoided.

• It is not permitted to cross borders to the occupied north of Cyprus; the insurance cover and any “cover” paid for at the border will not be valid.

• Should it come to light that a customer has crossed the border to the occupied north of Cyprus, it will result in immediate termination of the agreement and return of the hired camping equipment to C.C. Roam Cyprus Ltd with no refund.

• Customers should park the truck and camp in suitable places (designated camping grounds) where they are not causing an obstruction to other vehicles/pedestrians or services. Free camping in Cyprus is prohibited by law.

• LIGHTING OF FIRES OR COALS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED in areas which are not designated picnic sites; Always use your cooking equipment in designated picnic areas.

• Customers are not allowed to park or drive the truck on the beach. Some beaches, especially in the Akamas National Park area, are protected and are homes to endangered sea turtles known as Caretta Caretta; invading their environment may result in fines or even arrest. (Special cages are placed to protect the wildlife and inform people to not walk over their nests.)

• Always keep your rubbish in a bag and place it somewhere secure inside the storage area of the truck until you find suitable bins in the communities to throw it away.

• Do Not Litter & Always Leave Your Camp Area Clean Before Leaving.

• STRICTLY NO SMOKING INSIDE THE TRUCK OR ROOF TOP TENT.

• FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY WE ASK YOU NOT TO DRIVE IN AKAMAS AND/OR OFFROAD/REMOTE MOUNTAIN AREAS AFTER DARK.
